Some Stitching, Some Felting and Some Growing Babies

Some Stitching, Some Felting and Some Growing Babies

I am slowly adding some stitching to the needle books. I did a small sheep book. It is about 2 x 3 3/4inches or 5 x 9.5 cm closed.

And a larger one,4 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches or 11 x 14 cm closed. I am not sure it’s done. I was thinking it needed another sheep down in front. I was thinking it should be a black sheep but I am not sure.

and I started my second quarter challenge.  I am not going to tell you what it is but you can guess if you want.

And here are the cute little chicks from a couple of weeks ago. They have grown a lot and no longer look alike. The chickens hardly even look at me, maybe they are sad they have reached the ugly stage. In another couple of weeks they will be pretty.

And here are the turkey babies. They are very interested. It was hard to get a picture I had to spook them so they ran away so I could get a picture as they came running back with curiosity. Turkeys are very funny.

And lastly one of my apple trees has started to bloom.

All in all, a good week. I hope yours was too.

  1. The sheep needle books are really pretty! Let’s hope you can soon get back to selling on you stall.

Nope – can’t guess what you’re making for the challenge – just have to be patient and wait for your next post.

Looks like spring has arrived at yours Ann – lovely photos.

    1. Thanks Lyn. I am really hoping we don’t loose our fall shows.
      I am not telling.
The picture was from Friday. Yesterday it was sunny and hot and it is really flowering now and the 2 other are starting. The lilac is was just starting last night.

  2. The sheep needle books are really nice. I don’t think you need to add anything else. I can’t tell what your challenge piece is either. So far the colors don’t remind me of sunny weather though. 😆 Your birdies sure do grow fast. Love the apple tree blossoms! It’s supposed to snow south of here this week. Hopefully, it will miss us.

    1. Thanks Ruth. I will probably put it to the bottom of the pile and look at it again later. It is definitely a useful summer item. They do grow so fast. anyone who says eats like a bird has never fed baby birds. They eat like crazy. The flowers smell so good.

Snow sounds terrible. Is it normal this time of year?

We'd love to hear your thoughts!
