Learn to Screen Print on Felt for Free – Give Away
As I announced last month, I am teaching an online class Experimental Screen Printing on Felt beginning January 22nd. You can sign up for the class here. But I am also giving away a free spot in the class for one lucky winner!

I thought you might also like to see what I have made from some of my screen printed felt samples. I made eight different notebooks.
These are all of the different journals. The left column is the front and the right column is the back. But the nice thing about these journals is that you can use either side for front or back. All of the covers are made from felt that has been silk screened with a variety of different methods. You can learn all these methods by taking the online course.

Here is what the inside of all the notebooks look like. The books inside are blank sketchbooks. The size of the notebook is approximately 6″ x 9″.

oh my gosh its like you guys can see my thoughts! ive been planning to try to teach myself some screen printing basics this year! looking at the equipment list i cant really afford to participate tho, was just going to use some fine fabrics i have at hand and some embroidery hoops as the screens and silk are so expensive.

Hi Nikki – as long as you have something to thicken your dye with and dyes, you could get by without a lot of the supplies and learn the basics. Then you could later try some of the more expensive products. The first week I show you how to make a screen from an old picture frame and organza which you could substitute some fine fabric you already have. So I will add you to the drawing.

I do a lot of eco dying but the clarity and strength of the screen prints is really crisp. I would have liked to have signed up for the course but having just spend money on another online course funds would not stretch so please enter me in the draw.

I have always wanted to learn to screen print – what a great class. I’ll be traveling from the 21st through the 30th so I won’t be available during the class.
