Believe it or not, it has been ten years since we started The Felting and Fiber Studio. Our first post was on November 20, 2011. Some of the original members have changed, we have added more contributors but we are still sharing our fiber art adventures. We decided to have a ten year anniversary giveaway. We really appreciate you, our loyal readers and would like to give you a chance to win some cool prizes as we celebrate ten years of fiber creativity and fun. We are offering five prizes, three mixed packs of sari silk and two winners of your choice of our current online class selection (dates in 2022).
To enter the giveaway, please comment below with your choice of which prize you would like to win. You can choose either the silk sari pack or one of the online class offerings in 2022. We will have five winners. Make sure that your email address is associated with the comment. If we can’t get in touch with you, we can’t give you the giveaway prize. Only comments directly on the post will count. Comments on other social media such as Facebook will not be entered into the drawing. The drawing will be held with a random number generator on December 2 and the winners will be announced on December 3.
The sari silk pack will be made up of 10 grams of each color shown for a total of 60 grams of silk.
The online class options are: Felt Concertina Hat or Felt Bags both with Teri Berry.

Congratulations on ten successful years with your Felting and Fiber Studio!! The silk sari pack colours are so luscious that I would be thrilled to win one of them!! I’ve been experimenting with incorporating silk into my wool felted creations with varying degrees of success. I’m new to your site and if you ever offer a class showing how to use resists to make 3 dimensional felted sculptures I would enjoy taking a course like that.

First of all, thank you for continuing with your fascinating posts and keeping us all on our toes. But oh goodness what a difficult choice! I’ll have to go with Helen Dooley’s felting spirals, though, as I originally suggested to her that she run the course when someone was asking how to do this! So – thank you Helen for following through regardless of health issues, and now my broken wrist has healed, I’ll be up for learning your technique!

Congratulations on your anniversary. I have been reading posts for a long while even before I had a smart phone. There is such a wealth of info on the pro boards too. I think that’s what it’s called. Ten years is a wonderful milestone and this is a great way to mark it. The sari silk is a great addition to my hand spun and I’ve used up the first bit already and would love to try some of the other varieties, so it’s the sari silk for me. Best of luck to everyone.

WOW! 10 years is quite an accomplishment! I loved Terri’s Concertina Hat class. I learned so much from it and have been making hats ever since I took it. I would love to try my hand at the print with thickened dye class.

Congratulations on 10 years! I’m only new to felting but have immediately fallen in love with it. The process has been so calming especially in such a chaotic world. I’ve introduced my 8 year old daughter who has created her first abstract piece and is also a fan of the craft. I love that it is something we can do together.

It’s great that you have been posting about working and expressing with felt and your collective experiences for 10 years! It doesn’t seem that long when one is enjoying what they are doing. I would be thrilled to do the Wet Felting for Beginners course, with Ruth and Anne. It’s nice to learn from experienced felters and to connect with passionate felters, whether locally or abroad.
