Framing Complete
I had several requests from readers to show my finished pieces once they were framed. I framed 8 pieces. Three are for an exhibition in September and the rest are for sale in the shop. (If you’re interested in purchasing, let me know in the comments and I will contact you by email.)

I have my work professionally framed with a simple black wood frame. I do all the prep work of attaching the felt to a background fabric and then stretching and lacing on to a background board. I like to show the organic edges of the felt so this is the best method I have come up with. How do you frame your pieces?

The framed pieces are wonderful Ruth! Let’s hope they soon have little red dots on them.
There is something magical about the seascape (Overlook). It’s a picture that draws you in to another world – it’s meditative.

They look great Ruth. I do some with matts and some without. I have been thinking I should but them behind glass. Seems to be the thing to do. I gather galleries want them behind glass, not that I have any in a gallery.
Thanks Ann! I haven’t tried placing them in other galleries but mine so I’m not sure of the reception without glass. I will be trying for new galleries next year so I’m sure I will find out.

Thanks Antje! Overlook, Sanctuary and Off the Trail (one from last year) are being exhibited in the fiber art show in Bigfork in September. There is no glass. The others are all in the store.
