Giveaway—Polymer Clay Simply Made PDF e-book

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI know we’re all about felting, fabrics and fibrey things here, but I know most of us have lots of different creative interests, and also like to learn new things so I’m giving away a copy of my new PDF e-book called Polymer Clay Simply Made. It’s all about how to produce smooth, even clay for using with lots of different techniques to create unique, interesting polymer clay pieces, such as brooches, buttons, tiles, pendants etc, and how to do it without having to buy expensive or specialist equipment and products. It is suitable for complete beginners, and anyone who hasn’t even opened a packet of polymer clay before can create items like those on the cover in a matter of minutes. For more details you can read the full blurb on my blog or a recent post here.

You don’t need to do anything special to enter, just leave a comment on this post. If you’d like to spread the word through your blog or facebook etc, it would be very much appreciated but it isn’t a requirement. I will randomly draw the winner 8 days from now, on Sunday 28th July 2013, so please check back on the 28th to see if you’ve won and leave a comment on the announcement post so I can contact you with the download information.

  1. I’ve already read your entry on how you make a pdf tutorial and this book looks rather interesting. So I’m throwing my name into the luck pot as well. 🙂

Since last year I am the owner of a polymerclay set… I really wanted to learn this “technic”… But because I had no pasta machine and its a tool mentioned in quite EVERY tutorial I’ve read, I had become lazy… maybe this will change soon;)

    1. I can see how the pasta machine can be helpful for some techniques, I do have one and have tried it, but didn’t see any use for it myself. I just use ‘tools’ you probably already have. 🙂

  3. The fact that you don’t use expensive equipment is quite a plus for most crafters!
Your writing style is so easy to read and understand and your photographs are fantastic.

  4. Hello Zed,
Like you, I am primarily a “felter” but I have done some small sculptures with polymer clay and I’ve been wanting to make some clay buttons for felt purses, etc. I find it interesting that many fiber artists & crafters have similar preferences, when it comes to branching out in other mediums. Paper, clay, ceramics, wood…. we are a very tactile bunch! I would love to be entered into your giveaway to learn how to do this and to create some of the beautiful designs you demonstrate. Thank you for the opportunity!

    Best regards
    Terri Simon

  5. I’m a beginner at both felting and polymer clay, and currently immersed in polymer clay projects which has taken over my kitchen this summer. Would love to be entered in your giveaway also.

  6. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone 🙂
I agree it does seem fibre artists go for other tactile crafts too and polymer is popular, probably because we can make cheap matching buttons!

  7. Looks interesting. Polymer is really easy to use and doesn’t make a big mess. Made my own buttons before and everybody was astonished at the fact that it was handmade with polymer clay! Would love se learn new techniques.

  8. The book looks great, I could do with some help with polymer, my polymer work never seems to turn out quite right. Thanks for the chance to win.

  9. What a wonderful chance – thank you. I need some help to use the polymer clay I have bought but not yet used.

  10. Just what I need! Would love to have something to show me where to start with my polymer clay dreams!

  11. I would love to win this book. I have played around a little with polymer clay but could sure use a book designed for beginners.

  12. I look forward to all the “things” you get in to. I live vicariously because I just don’t have the time!!! Keep it up. I have had a polymer clay for years just waiting for me to play with. Knowing how would certainly help. LOL

  13. You’re book looks fantastic! I’ve never tried making anything like this before, but I’d like to have a go : )

  14. Timely book…I just purchased my first polymer clay to make buttons for the sweater I’m knitting! Thanks for the chance!
