Wonderful Woolly Holidays – UK Wool Giveaway!

Wonderful Woolly Holidays – UK Wool Giveaway!

It’s time for our second giveaway in our Wonderful Woolly Holiday Giveaway series. This one will be for our readers in the UK. But before I show you the three prizes available, I will announce the winners from our US giveaway last week. The winners were picked with a random number generator. The three winners are #5, #18 and #32:

Karen Gordon How lovely! Thank you for this opportunity! I have been working with wet felted floral landscapes and gardens, but am also working on a Maine seascape series. That said, blues and greens and earthy colors would be great, but there’s always room for bright reds, pinks and yellows! Anything would be just lovely! Thank you again and best wishes for the holiday season!
Jess M I would make a felted vessel or bowl. Greens and yellows. Thank you for making this giveaway happen! Happy holidays!
Shoshana Avramovitz Wow what a beautiful thing:)
I am a glass and encaustic wax artist and recently acquired some felting supplies from a very ill artist friend who has since passed. I think of her often on this new amazing journey in wool fiber. I’m just loving it, the colors and feel of the wool makes me happy:)
Thanks for doing this hugs 🤗

Congratulations! I will contact you by email to get your snail mail addresses.

My friend Paula is the one to thank for all the woolly goodness. She has decided to give away her wool supply as she is no longer doing any felting. She has moved on to other art forms.

The three photos below show you the prizes for the UK giveaway. Some of it is marked as to what it is and some isn’t. Most of it is merino wool. Some has been in plastic bags for a while and may be a bit matted down. But that shouldn’t bother any of you since if you win, it’s free!

Here is prize number 1 with all kinds of woolly goodness.

And prize number 2!

And last but not least, prize number 3.

The first giveaway is for readers in the UK.

If you live in the UK and would like to win one of these lovely packages of wool, please comment below. Let us know which prize you prefer (and we’ll try match the winners with their favorite one) or you can say ‘any prize would be wonderful!’ Also, in your comment, let us know what you’d like to create with your new wool. Feel free to spread the word through social media. I will announce the winners in my post next week.- You will not receive the prize until after the holidays. The Canada drawing will be soon, so keep an eye out for that post.

Thanks so much to Lyn and Annie of Rosiepink for distributing the prizes!

Please only enter the giveaway if you live in the UK.

  1. Any of the packs would be wonderful! I do both needle and wet felting and have been thinking of a large piece for a fireplace screen. 🙂

  2. First of all thank you for this giveaway. I find this blog truly inspirational. I do wet and needle felting and would love any of the prizes. At the moment I am also taking part in a stitchbook collective. I have been using some of my felt as background to my stitching. This month we are felting paper, using a technique called Joomchi.

  3. Fantastic bundles of woolly creativity! I live felting and create pictures of scenes wherever I travel and from where I live as well as farm animal pictures, so any pack would be wonderful!

  4. Thank you for this lovely giveaway! I would be happy with any of the bundles as I have been doing a lot of wet felting lately. I see a scarf in there somewhere! Or a hat! or handwarmers! 🙂

  5. Thank you for the opportunity for this giveaway. I love to wet felt small bags, scarves, hats, flower brooches and want to try a wall hanging. I would be happy to have any of the bundles but my eye is drawn especially to the third one.

  6. If I were to win one of these bundles, I would pass it on to my young friend, who I am teaching to wet felt. We’ve recently moved onto using resists and our next project is to be a hat.
Oscar is 10 years old and suffers from a rare genetic disorder which limits his physicality. Despite this he works hard to raise funds for his beloved animal charities and has recently raised enough to buy his friend a much-needed mobility aid.

  7. I would be very happy to win any of the bundles. What would I make ? – well, having done the fantasy fish course I would make at least 1 fish.

  8. Thank you so much for selecting me. My address is 154 Augusta NationalJohns Island, South Carolina  29455 Thank you  thank you thank you

  9. I would be delighted to win any of the prizes. I would, most probably, make a felted landscape picture – recently, I have been inspired by a demo I saw by Moy Mackay in Chester – I’d like to produce something that would use her techniques. Jill Ledwidge – ledwidge@talktalk.net

    1. Oh my goodness, Jill…I’ve just discovered Moy. What an inspiration and a talent?! Longing to do a course with her.

  10. What a wonderful giveaway thank you.
I would be very happy with either prize, & I would use the fibres in a wet felted picture I’m going to make for a secret charity sale.

  11. I love wet felting and needle felting and want to do a wet felt landscape picture. Any of the gifts would be great but I would love to get number 1.

  12. Lovely giveaway! I’d love to get prize 3, but any would be great – I’d use it to play with 2D needle felting, something I’ve been toying with but haven’t properly started yet 🙂

    Best of lucks to everyone!

  13. I first discovered wet felting a few years back and fell totally in love with the medium ..texture, colour, freedom of form. Then recently I did a needle felting course and now I’m hooked. I’m looking to set up a studio in my attic room and explore the possibilities. Your giveaway would help build my stock and allow me the freedom to explore this incredible artform. I think #2 appeals but any one would be a gift ..I’d probably create an impressionist landscape with a touch of needle felted detail. Can’t wait!!!

  14. I’ve just started a felting course so any of the give aways would be fabulous. It would go towards helping me learn about felt and how to make wonderful woolly items.

  15. This is a fabulous opportunity & generous giveaway from the States….thank you.
Bundle #2 holds my interest but any would allow further experiments in colour blending for wet felted wall hangings. Good luck & happy Christmas to everyone.

  16. I would love to win any of those packs to get me feltmaking again – I plan to make myself a bright and sturdy bag for the winter! Thank you and Merry Christmas to all the FFS and readers.

  17. Oh I can’t decide which I like best, any would be amazing! I’m just getting into needle felting and I’m currently brewing an idea for a larger piece that will probably be a multi-coloured patterned cat because I love them.

  18. Any prize would be amazing, I love all things wool! I’m currently designing and sampling ideas for mothers day gifts, hands, figures, mother and child images. I enjoy creating human stories with my favourite animal’s fibre. Thank you to the humble, but brilliant, sheep. Xx

  19. Hi, thanks for thinking about your followers here in UK too! If I win I’m happy with any bundle. I love experimenting in wet felting 3D abstract sculptures. Most of them look nothing like what I want but I am having a lot of fun while learning about the possibilities and restrictions of taming wool.

  20. Oh how fun! I love all of them because I just love all things wooly and fibrous! I think I’d pick #3 first and #1 second, then happy with #2 if the others are gone! I love needle felting and wet felting and would be happy to create from what’s offered. Thanks for such a great blog with such a variety of ideas that you girls try out. Mary McAndrew

  21. Hope I’m not too late to enter! I would love prize number three but any of them would be marvellous.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holidays!!
