Another that I thought I would add. Another WIP but one that has slow stitch with random coloured muslin set out in collage form (cover) as a sunset motif. I was thinking of putting some of my hand spun, cloud bits to highlight the sun. Not sure yet.

ROGUERY Crows can see breath, thwart sorrow, and argue with the laws of the universe. They tangle perfectly with what we think of as concrete knowledge, thus calling forth a change in consciousness. ONEIRONAUT …. is a word meaning “dream sailor”. The owl travels telepathically to bring messages to the sleeper through lucid dreaming. She holds a Dorodango – a compressed ball of dirt to keep her grounded with the earth. Native American Churro, Merino, Leicester, Lincoln wools, glass eyes, wood, copper wire, dirt 32” x 12” x 9”

Night Magician Masters of the dark, bats symbolize the ability to communicate with the subconscious world, the unseen world. They are a totem animal that teaches us to follow our intuition. Here, she wears a Luna moth on her chest – a favorite food. Native American Churro and Merino wools, wire and wood armature 33” x 12” x 11”

It’s gnome witch season. Here is one of my recent ones called Alistair. He has a broom with mugwort and lavender. Alistair’s needle-felted Wizard’s hat is made from a blend of deep navy and blue merino, pink and light blue bamboo, fawn ramie fiber, and sparkling blue firestar.
