E-Book Giveaway
I haven’t done a Giveaway for a long time, so I thought the festive/holiday season is a good time to do another one! So this week, I’m doing a giveaway of my e-book, The Right Fibre.
It isn’t a project based book – I don’t tell you how I think you should use fibres, it’s an objective look at them. I profile 20 different embellishment fibres, and show lots of photos of how they look after felting in various ways, so it’s easy to compare them with each other and see similarities and differences.
There is also a section detailing various things which affect the way a fibre will felt and look after felting, so by the end you have the information you need to choose the right fibre and give you more control over the outcome.
For more information, have a look at the full blurb on my blog. To win a free copy of The Right Fibre, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. If you’d like to spread the word through your blog or facebook etc, it would be very much appreciated but it isn’t a requirement. I will randomly draw the winner 8 days from now on Monday 31st Dec 2018, so please check back to see if you’ve won. Good Luck!
EDIT: SORRY! I completely forgot to link to the blurb on my blog! Thanks Ann 🙂

So very pleased to see this. I’m Constantly experimenting with fibres and it’s expensive.
Well done and yes I’ll love it. X
Only recently I discovered the joys of wetfelting….. and this site. Simply love it!

This books sounds very useful. I would love a copy!
This is just what the doctor ordered. I constantly fumble around trying to decide what type of fiber to use for what. I would love to win the book! It would save me from ripping out.
This would be a wonderful, informative ebook to have, the more information that sheds light on wet felting benefits everyone! If I don t win, how much is the ebook?
Hi Chris, thanks, it’s US $21. If you need a currency converter this site is good: https://www.xe.com/
This book would be perfect to guide me in using the many fibers available for felting. I’d love to win a copy.
What a great resource! This will take a lot of the mystery out of the felting process and eliminate wasted fibre and time! Would love a copy even if I don’t win a free one.
What a generous gift. Count me in!
What a great idea. I would love this ebook. Great refernce information.

‘Pay it forward’ is such a perfect way to share kindness and encouragement to others. Thank you for your ‘forward’ thinking. I believe your e-book is a valuable addition to a felter’s source of reference and inspiration.
Your book sounds amazing. I would be so thrilled to win a copy.
Enjoy your blog.
I am just beginning my work with fibers. Any information on use would be very helpful. Thanks!
What a thoughtful and generous offer! There is so much to know and learn about the intricacies of the fiber world. Thanks for demystifying some of it.
Merry Christmas!💥
We’ve been wet felting for a long time, but there is always room for learnng new things! Love your work!
Wow! This would be a great treat.
This would be a great resource to have!!
This looks to be such a useful book. So far I have used merino and Wensleydale locks but I would love to try other breeds in my wet felting creations. Someone is going to be very lucky in this giveaway.
Just curiosity….as I know two Helen Kitchings I just wondered if you might be located in the UK? If so which County?
What a great tool you have created! I have a binder of different sheep fibers I have felted into squares as a tool to know how they behave and look after being wet felted. I love to use these type of tools while wet felting as they minimize experimenting and expense. Happy holidays to all!
I’m a bit of a newbie only having made several cobweb lace scarves and an experimental piece with raw alpaca fiber; no doubt your book would be helpful. Very kind of you to share through a drawing.
I love adding embellishments but not knowing how they will felt does add a bit of anxiety. You don’t mention how much you charge for this ebook. It would be a valuable tool.
Hi Jill, thanks, it’s US $21 🙂
I would love to add this book to my library of felting resources. I have been starting to add embellishments, but I want to learn more!
what a great Christmas gift you are giving us!
This would be great to read while I am on holiday and learn more about fibres – love your blogs. I would love to win it! Merry Christmas and thanks for the chance.
Sounds like a very useful book indeed. Kind of you to gift this community with 10 copies
Thanks Florence 🙂
There’s just 1 copy up for grabs, though!
Felting is like crack. Just tried it one time and now I’m addicted! Thanks for being one of my favourite enablers 🙂
Fantastic resource- would love a copy either free or to buy! Happy holidays and all the best for 2019!
Sounds like a great resource. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for offering us mere mortals the chance to win something that will increase our felting knowledge base. I personally want to always be learning as much as I can about fibres and their use in felting and embellishing felting.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
All the very best.
Carol
How can I pass up a chance to win this very interesting-looking book!
Your book sounds great! Thanks for sharing all your hard work.
I always love looking at the creative ideas from Feltingandfiberstudio. And now a chance to win an e-book. From what I can see from the pictures and explanations, the book is wealth of information about how different fibers felt, saving individuals a lot of time not “re-creating the wheel”.
Looks like a book for my bookshelf. Thanks for sharing.
Christmas wishes to you….
Thanks Zed for the offer
Cheers
Pam
Looks like great info. Would love to have one. Sherry
I could most likely benefit from the info in this book. Thanks for the opportunity to win
What a generous offer of a great resource for felters. Thank you for the chance to participate.
i am new to wet felting and find these posts very inspiring. i am fascinated by the unending approaches to this age old material. thanks for sharing!!!
This sounds like a very interesting book. I tend to use a local fibre as my base for all my felting but I’m often at a loss when choosing embellishments because I simply don’t know how they’re going to react/look when it’s finished.
This would make a wonderful addition to any feltmakers library.
Thank for the lovely gesture! Love this information, I’m a felter for a little while now, but cannot afford to experiment with other fibres, so this information will be most welcome!
Thanks, Patti 🙂
Yeah, cost can be a big factor when choosing fibres, luckily a lot of them are very cheap, and they can go a long way depending how you use them. I’m still using Tussah Silk which I bought 100g of about 9 years ago!
Yes Please, Merry Christmas
This looks like a great resource book Ruth! Fingers crossed I might be a winner! Have a wonderful Christmas.
What a wonderful resource! Thanks for an opportunity to win the book.
Your website is a mine of info- thanks for this opportunity! And happy Christmas. 😊
The book looks very useful. Hope I’m the lucky person!
This book looks like it would be very helpful to avoid a lot of trial and error. I’ve been felting Hanji paper using the Korean joomchi technique, and now I’m interested in felting wool and other fibers to incorporate into mixed media pieces and art quilts. Thanks for offering the book—Hope I win it!
Sounds like a fabulous resource!
Thanks for the chance to win.
This sounds fantastic, I’d love to read your book.
This ebook would be invaluable for me, finger’s crossed. Merry Christmas.
It would be brilliant to win your book. Whilst my random wool selections are mostly fun, it would save me so much time and frustration to ‘know’ which fibres are best for each project. Thanks for the opportunity xx
Thank you for your kind offer to win this book. The information sounds a valuable resource. Seasons greetings. Xj
Hi Ann, what a fabulous reference book for all of us interested in felting. Would you consider publishing it in paper format? I do look at e-books but find I love to hold such great info in my hand….it makes it alive in my fingers somehow. All that said i’d Be delighted if I were to be the winner. I’m glad you’ve had so many comments and interest in your book.
Hi Antje, it’s Zed not Ann 🙂
I did look into publishing hard copy versions, but they’re just not really cost effective. Saying that, once someone owns a copy of the e-book, if they want to use it to oder a hard copy/printed version they are more than welcome to. I got myself a copy of Beyond Nuno, and it cost about £12, at the time, I think.
The other reason I never really did hard copies is that I tried to get a lot of close-up details in my e-books, using supermacro photos, so you can zoom in like 300% and get lots of info, and all that is lost on paper.
I would love to get the e book for free, please pick me😂😄🤶🏻
I would love your beautiful book. Thank you for this great offer. Xx
I would love to win this 🙂 it looks very informative, fingers crossed
This giveaway sounds pretty exciting!
