Second quarter Challenge, Nuno Felt Surface Design.
The second quarter is already here, I am not sure how that happened. I think using fabric as a surface design instead of a base is a good idea for the second quarter. Use cotton or silk or rayon or what ever you like to make some surface designs. You can make texture or pattern.
Try a mosaic? (I think one is Zed’s)
or making a picture? I made this to practice machine embroidery on.
Layer some silk
How about some texture?
Or let your imagination sore, have fun with it. You can post your experiments good and bad over in the Felt and Fiber Studio Forum. http://feltandfiberstudio.proboards.com/thread/3708/2018-second-quarter-challenge

Another great idea for a challenge Ann. Looking forward to get out my scraps box and having a play!
I am glad you like the idea. I am looking forward to seeing your scraps.
This should be fun!
Great, I am looking forward to seeing somthing interesting from you.
How did the second quarter get here already? Crazy. It’s funny but our group is doing Nuno felting next week and I had already decided to use the nuno as a surface design so this fits perfectly with my plans. I’m thinking I will do a landscape and then add machine embroidery. Thanks for the challenge, Ann!
What great timing Ruth. I look forward to seeing what you make.
Great challenge Ann, so many options!
I am glad you like it , have fun.
Oh no, a nuno felt surface design challenge 😉 I suppose I’ll have to call in the fabric shop for a few ideas 🙂
As an extra challenge to you it can’t be a sample and it can’t be a book cover.
ha ha! ok 🙂
Thinking hat on, a good challenge 🙂
Thanks, I hope you have fun with it
